Local Partnership Advisor

Our Regional Cores serve as the strategic integrators of Cordaid's work, connecting partner priorities, regional opportunities, and organisational capabilities to strengthen locally led development and humanitarian action. The Regional Core works interdependently with External Engagement & Relations, Humanitarian Assistance, Global Practices & Standards, and Shared Services to ensure coherent, high-quality, and sustainable regional impact. Rather than directly managing implementation, we enable partners to lead by ensuring they have strategic support, organisational capabilities, and enabling environment needed to succeed.

Local Partnership Advisor

(Fulltime, based in one of Cordaid offices worldwide)

As we continue our transition towards a locally led development model, we are looking for a Local Partnership Advisor to help turn our organizational commitments into practical ways of working.

Working under the guidance of the Locally Led Development Advisor, and within the Global Practice & Standards (GPS) domain, you will support the implementation of Cordaid's Locally Led Development (LLD) approach by developing practical tools, strengthening organizational capabilities and supporting colleagues and partners across regions.

What you do

You will:

• Support the implementation of Cordaid's Locally Led Development approach across programmes, partnerships and regions.

• Translate organisational standards into practical guidance, tools and methodologies.

• Design and facilitate learning, coaching and capacity-strengthening initiatives for colleagues and partners.

• Provide technical advice to Regional Cores and organisational domains on partnership approaches, adaptive programming and locally led development.

• Support organisational learning by capturing and sharing good practices, lessons learned and evidence.

• Promote high standards of quality, safeguarding and ethical programming.

• Work closely with Regional Cores, External Engagement & Relations, Shared Services and other GPS colleagues to strengthen partner-centred programming.

• Build collaborative relationships that foster organisational learning and continuous improvement.

What you bring

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Development, Organisational Development, Social Sciences or a related field.

• Experience supporting partnerships and capacity strengthening within the international development sector.

• A solid understanding of locally led development, equitable partnerships and adaptive programming.

• Excellent facilitation, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate concepts into practical solutions.

• Experience working across cultures and multidisciplinary teams.

• Excellent English communication skills. French or Arabic is an advantage.
